Tanks are your first mid ranged units. They have higher health and damage than jeeps, and can easily destroy armies of jeeps. Tanks, however, should only be built until you can build rocket trucks; they are cost inefficient, and eventually will be reduced to a mere meat shield for your more advanced and expensive units. However, tanks do absorb and soak up damage, because of their high health.
