A battle occurs when an army arrives at its destination. To attack a player or NPC, tap on an enemy building and select the attack or capture button. After assembling an army, it will begin to travel to the target.
For most battles, surviving units will return back to the base they were deployed from with any resources they might've taken. Item rewards are awarded immediately. After the battle, a percentage of your killed units are revived in their base.
Types of Battles Edit
There are a few types of battles:
|Steal||Resources are actually stolen from the player. These battles are shorter and have less casualties. This applies to the following buildings: warehouse, factory, refinery, trading center, research lab, defense grid, sensor tower.|
|Raid||Resources are stolen from the resource patch. This causes the building to output at a lower rate for a certain amount of time. These battles are shorter and have less casualties. This applies to the following buildings: oil derrick, iron mine, titanium mine, uranium drill.|
|Capture||This battle is used to capture a base. These battles are long and in general, one side will be completely killed off. This only applies to the Command Center.|
|Occupation||This will occur every 30 minutes if an attacker has won the initial capture battle. These battles are the only battles that will involve up to 5 commanders on each side. These battles are long and in general, one side will be completely killed off.|
|Build Outpost||This battle is used to build an outpost. You must defeat the renegade units which occupy this hostile territory. These battles are long and in general, one side will be completely killed off.|
|Scout||This battle is used to gather information on a building and its defending units.|
Battle Mechanics Edit
When a battle occurs, both units will engage in a fight. Units line up on each side of the battlefield and move a certain distance each round. This distance is proportional to the units' move speed. A unit can shoot as far it's range designates. It's health is how much damage it can take and it's damage is how much each attack does.
A Defense Grid will increase the distance of the battlefield and also provide a range boost to long range units for the base it is built in. Multiple Defense Grids in a base do not have a cumulative effect.
